How much money can I make Teaching English in Bangkok?
This really all depends on the person but most of the teaching jobs in Bangkok government schools start at around 32,000 to 35,000THB for a native English speaker and 18,000 to 22,000 for a non native English speaker.
Private schools and international schools in Bangkok can pay up to 40,000 to 70,000 THB per month usually these kind of schools are looking for a university degree in the education field and in most cases candidates from native speaking countries only.
With such a big population Bangkok is very easy to find private clientele to teach. There are also a lot of English language centres in shopping malls, so if you're looking to do a bit of work for some extra cash on the weekends or in the evenings my recommendation would be to drop your CV into them. The pay can be anything from 300 to 700THB per hour.
